Dell Latitude 800. This is our laptop of choice. It's been fried once due to a spilled can of pop. Floppy and zip drives don't work

Erich started with a Novara Safari. The frame broke once near Phoenix. REI replaced the bike. The second frame broke near Lima. REI refunded it.

Erich's bag. Ortleib is the brand to get. But expensive.

Sigma Sport 800. Takes lots of batteries. I haven't used much due to dead batteries most of the time.

Again. Ortleib is the way to go. Well worth the lots of money to spend on this brand.

Erich's helmet. Get a cheap Bell at Walmart. Giro is overpriced.

Rio MP3 player. Breaks the boredom some days. Worth the $150 for the long haul. Wore out near end of the trip.

I love BOB trailers. I had bearing problems, but Roger at BOB fixed personally. They are held up well for the entire trip.

Erich's view from above.

Sony mini DV camera. DCR-PC100. Small, compact. Expensive. Handy. I wish we had a tripod. But I like. Held up well. Jams in cold weather.

Garmin Legend- built in map of North/South America. Cool toy for Erich. Also takes place of two broken cyclocomputers. On for 8 hrs / day.

Erich's Northface bag. Good bag.

Pur Water filter. Used a lot during first month and last month of the ride.

International MSR Stove. Burns on most fuel. Works Great. Survived Brian's major crash in Guatemala.

Erich's tent. REI Clipper. I like alot. Easy to put up. Keeps you dry during heavy rain. I did bend poles during the wind storm in US and Argen.

Very efficient on the batteries with the LED bulb. I like. Replaced batteries very little.

I have an Olympus D-450 Zoom. Nice camera. WIth 32 mb smart card, can hold 500 medium quality pics.
